HKS Hi Power or Legamax Premium?
which one should i buy? i like the titanium tips but my goal is 400-500 hp and i've read that hi power is the one to buy if your goal is 400-500 hp. does the hi power come in titanium too? thanks
High power is all steel, but from what I saw on my friend's car, the Y-Pipe looking pipe looks like a different steel than the canisters and tips. HKS is quality stuff for sure, but the high power left me with a WTF kinda feeling when I saw it.
Legamax is not loud at all, so if you're looking for stealth sound and good build quality, this is a good system.
There are so many options, are you building a full HKS car? Utlimate racing, ETS, AMS...there are so many more out there with better build quality. I have the ETS V2 regular exhaust and my car sure sounds more intimidating than the High Power and it's 3 inch all the way to back. If you like the look of the tips on the HKS, look at Ultimate Racing. Same concept as the ETS, but different tips. If you want baller, then look no further than the Tomei Expreme Ti single exhaust. Great sound and it will not hold you up from getting to 400-500whp

thanks for the response guys.
at first, i was planning on doing a full HKS setup but from what i've read in this forum, it seems like they don't use them that much. is it because they are restricted compared to other exhausts? i like the tomei but still contemplating if i want a single exit or not. i was also looking at the mxp titanium and the greddy spectrum elite for dual exits.

I'm not sure about the Hi Power, but I do know that the Legamax piping is not a full 3" if that matters to you. It would be safe to say that the Hi Power might be louder/drone more than the Legamax.
I am an advocate of HKS for its quality and precision fitment, but kind of disappointed with their exhaust options. If you aren't set on HKS only, there are plenty of exhaust options that are bound to fit your requirements perfectly. Almost to the point where you don't have to think of choosing really.
I wanted the most stealth and quiet exhaust that was a full 3 inches, so I ended up getting a RRE sideways exhaust. Took me a while to find the right one, but I have absolutely no regrets.
Looking for threads from OPs with the same exhaust criteria helped me out a lot.

The tanabe exhaust your referring to is not a 3" exhaust. Tanabe products are pretty decent. Haven't had any problems in past experiences. Not saying you absolutely need a 3" exhaust, but it makes it much easier to reach 400-500whp levels with 3" turbo back exhaust piping. I would start with that criteria before you make some decisions.
