No über tiny gap in the top is going to compare to the monster opening in the rear where the maf pipe comes in. That and the two water drain holes in the bottom of the box already bring in hot under hood air. I just don't think they are enough to mess anything up.

Having two lines into the inlet pipe seemed kinda dumb. I bought an F fitting and connected them to my 3 port. I get it that stock is dual solenoid, but my three port isn't.

Hah, why not just get an open intake you ricer!

Seriously though, looks good! I have always liked the 'stealth' look of the AEM intake I guess but the clear top is kinda neat. Should be a great setup for you! Let us know how it looks in 20k miles?

pics are nice and appreciated

after seeing it more, not sure if I like it enough to do it. now I kind of prefer the clean look of the covered black. gives a kind of "LOOK AT ME I'M AFTERMARKET" vibe to me

just my opinion though, still a good job regardless

My parents came down this weekend to see the grandkids, and my dad took a template of my lid. I'm super excited because he just might make me a lid out of glass. But if he does plexiglas instead, that'll be ok too.
