When compressor blades go NOM NOM NOM

Not sure if a piece of weld slag broke off, or something else, but here is what I found, really by accident. Car has been running fine, with no abnormal noises or sounds, and the car still pulls hard and boosts to 25psi without fail.

To make a long story short, I took a picture of the compressor housing while I had the intake off to do a boost leak test, and didn't look at it. 2 weeks later, I decided to delete some pictures off my phone, and was looking at the picture I took and noticed something odd. So I started making preparations for replacing the turbo. I decided to take the intake off to check for material in the I/C and took a better picture of the compressor blades, which is the picture above.

Moral of the story, check your compressor blades on occasion.

then you're probably good... those chewed up fins will be more turbulent, so just periodically check the shaft play...

I figured. I have a used turbo coming in and will have it replaced sometime next week. I figured I can use this one as a core for an upgraded stock frame turbo.

What would the affect be on a tune with the blades like this?

I thought about it, but I don't want to spend the money right now, and plus I live in a very rural part of the mid-west, and don't have access to a reputable tuner. Nearest would be Cobb in Plano which is 8+ hours away.
