My Exhaust Leak

So my car currently has a exhaust leak on my recirc o2 delete downpipe. It is leaking where the wastegate recirculation pipe meets at the downpipe, as shown on the picture below.

A friend suggested to use some Versachem Exhaust System Joint and Crack Sealer, he said that the leak is harmless due to its location and that the sealer would fix it up just fine.

Will I be okay?

As long as the leak is after your front O2 sensor and isn't pointing at anything that will be damaged by heat, all it will be is a noise and increased chance to backfire. I don't know about repair options.

The manufacturer of the pipe sent me a new one under warranty, but I didn't realize how expensive it is in labor to have a downpipe installed on a X. All the local shops want nearly $200 just to install it, and unfortunately I have other places I need to spend that $200. I can't have the manufacturer waiting forever, it's not fair for them either, so I was just trying to see about my options.

I may call some other local places and see if I can get a different quote to get the new one installed.
