No failure for me. Just replaced them at 40k miles with NGK non-Mitsu packaged plugs. Bought them from MAP.

No failures on mine. I recently changed my plugs out at 55k miles just because it was getting to the maintenance window. They looked flawless. I replaced with Mitsu packaged NGKs.

I have had 3 fail on me but 2 where caused i assume by other issues. 1st one was cylinder 3 due to running around on a bad fuel pump relay for a while in which the plug caused the valves to bend. 2nd plug was in a motor on a stock tune getting up to 17 counts of knock due to a bad wastegate acuator. both of those where under 5000 miles of the car. I do not remeber what happened with the 3rd plug. since then the car has had a much harder life and the plugs seemed happier about it.

40k and no issues, i pulled them at 30k and checked the gap and they were a little wide, so i set the gap and have had another 10k of non issues.

I've chucked and replaced mine at 20,000km and 40,000km.

Just before 40k service, I asked my mechanic to pick me up a set of NGK Ralliart plugs while he was in Japan, as he can get them cheaper while over there. No worries, he said.

When he got back and handed them over, they were the exact NGK Evo X plug type sold by Ralliart in Australia as "Ralliart" branded performance plugs. He got me hot s**t NGK "racing" spark plugs, $40 each, with the fine-wire tip and all.

Definitely the correct p/n, as people have posted about 'em on here and EvoX. So...

...in they went!

So I'm now driving around a near-stock hatchback, still on RA dixie-cup turbo, stock exhaust, stock intake, stock 2-port bcs... with NGK RACING spark plugs. By accident.

Hmm, reckon I need a wicked NGK RACING paint job, a huge NGK RACING windscreen sticker, branded seat covers, fluffy spark plugs hanging from the rear vision mirror... etc. Because Rice Car, lol.

Makes me wonder if the DILKR8B6 spec'd by NGK for 2011+ models is less prone to breakage...

Bad gas. Spark plugs look in medium condition after 6k miles with signs of exhaust gasses leaks.

I installed NGK replacements and about 2 weeks later cylinder one and two looked like this:
[IMG][/IMG] cylinder 2 showed a 20% leak after

my issues could have been a number of problems like over torquing (pretty sure i had it set to 15 ft/lbs), the etune, the addition of a a bov, cat back to my existing tune, the boost spike of 30 psi and 10 knock counts before my nightmare started, **** they call ultra94, the cold weather or me just being a stupid Fuc*ing idiot and not logging when i should have. We will see what it looks like on the inside and i will asked the builder to snap a pic. HKS m45xl are going into the new engine. GOON3 had his plug pop too in his built motor and ive been told his motor took a dump later.
