Clutch stuck to the floor? Plastic CMC fails again!!!

So after owning my car for only about a month and some change the clutch started getting stuck to the floor. After a visual inspection I saw no leaks and no cracks. A couple days later it started doing it again and now it does it all the time. What crappy design.....
Taking the car in today so no fun DD driving for me......

I'm pissed cause you'd think buying a 2008 with under 50K mileage would make it less likely that you'd have a more reliable car....and I haven't even tracked the car or done any long trips yet. My 240sx sohc is more reliable at this point haha total BS.

Mitsu has revised the design since 2008 and they are stronger now.

What Kracka meant to say was...

:-) Sorry, not trying to be an ***, I just know that everyone knows how this stuff goes. Jump over on a BRZ/FR-S forum and share this when it's needed ;-)

Exactly why I'll never buy the first model year of anything. Looking back to all the cars I've been into it's always the case: 1990 DSM, 2000 S2k, 2003 VIII, 2008 X, etc.

Haha thanks for the humor.

So I'm at the dealership and it turns out that the previous owner put in a new CMC racing spec. Stainless steel clutch line and the dealership before I bought the car replaced the clutch and the clutch slave cylinder, so either it's a air bubble in the line or throw out bearing....either it sucks cause I had to take off from work to get it fixed. Good times.

Yeah, what can I say, it was too good a deal to pass up. Bought my Evo X 2008 GSR SSS w/ navi 43k mileage for $25k, so it was a great deal. And yeah it's a headache but I'm not paying for anything.

to CMC we could also bring up:
-Diff pins
-TC over-fills
-Fuel Relays
-Timing Chain (well for late '11 and '12 at least)

Car manufactures started learning how to build cars by taking Microsoft Business Management courses

I was just trying to be funny and play into that Olympic meme that has been going around the net.

I don't really know a lot about the CMC. I have read threads of people complaining about them failing prematurely and people talking trash because with their improvement they made them plastic? And then another thread says for the 2012 they improved it again and made them metal.

They won't, not unless it caused over 50% of those cars to crash and Mitsubishi sued them.

Also, they think it's the CMC but it a metal racing one and the company who made it is going to send the shop a new one when they get my old one....so my car will be at the shop for awhile.

I'm driving an altma.....not a good replacement IMO, I did ask for a Z but they laughed.

Sucks. The reason why there isnt any crashes is because we are fixing our own problems lol
