Help choosing cams

So im mainly looking for safety not high numbers really trying to prevent blowing this motor. It currently has the kelford stage 2 cams (214b) i dont have any stock cams to use so im in the process of building the head, have to replace all the valves and im thinking of going with new stock valves unless anyone suggest otherwise. Income is not great at the moment so im looking to get the car on the road for now I will work on making power in the future that being said only upgrades on the car besides the cams are intercooler piping,750cc injectors, and a fp red but i also have a stock turbo to run if its suggested that its a better idea. So im debating if i should try to get my hands on some stock cams and not run the kelfords since they are meant for larger turbos or would i be safe running the kelfords. Any input would be appreciated im stumped just seeing what evom has to say thanks everyone.

If you are not running upgrade spring I would stay on stock cams. I know there are several aftermarket cams you can run stock springs with but imo if you upgrade cams you should do the whole vavletrain at the same time or at least springs and retainers. Better safe then sorry.

yes i agree i believe it already has the upgraded springs but if it doesnt and i keep the cams in i will be getting the corresponding springs and retainers as for the valves im still unsure whether to got stock because ive heard they are pretty strong or aftermarket either way i wil getting all new valves because all my current intake ones are bent

If are changing the valves I would just do the springs also. Stock cams are going to cost you about the same as upgraded springs.

I dont see why there would be any reliability issue if you put in upgraded springs with a proper tune. I would stick with the fp red also again should be fine with a good tune.
