I shifted to 3rd instead of fifth by accident

I shifted to 3rd instead of fifth by accident

Can I damage anything shifting to 3rd instead of fifth?

LOL.... I been down that road in an old car of mine, but in the way it can hurt something. Top of 4th... shifting to 5th, wooops 3rd... rpm jump, car slows down, instantly press in clutch after a split second... no harm done. Lucky.

Thats called money shifting :-)

I actualy did the same exact thing, 5-10 mph slower, a few months ago but was too embarresed to post about it...

To this day I still have times where I feel my car is slower because of this.

The money shift is 2nd(redline) to 1st haha. Nothing else is nearly as painful as that....
