yes its common. Everyone i talked to with a FP Series turbo (including myself) has had an oil leak. Mine was at the oil return line going into the block.

what did you do? Was it resolved, or returned back to FP for a refund.

I need to find out from the garage what the issue is, and we are going to send it back to FP. But I don't want a poorly designed (defective) turbo on my engine.... especially an engine worth $25,000!!!!

Still, that sucks. I've only heard good things from FP turbos.. But all the FPs have oil leaks? Is it a poor design in the oil feed line?

Not sure. There has been 3 people (including myself) locally that had leaks. One person had leaks on both his FP Green and FP Black. I had a leak on my FP Red and my buddy had a leak on his red as well. All in different spots. Mine was at the return line on the block. The guy with the black leaked on the return line on the turbo and the other had oil leaking inside the turbo somewheres.

The garage that works on my car has had 2 BB FP Red's and 1 BB FP Green with oil leaks in the past month..... and we are not talking about drips..... I'm going to meet them today to find out what the issue is.

possibly, but that means every single evo has that issue stock. Well not so much an issue for the evo but an issue for FP's turbos being able to support the pressure.

I feel bad for you guys who buy a bb fp turbo with their oil line relocation kit...totally unnecessary.

So if you use the stock oil lines does it still have a oil leak? This is a make or break deal for me. Can't stand fluid leaks!!

I've got a 2.3L Jun block which was pushing 500WHP and 510lb/ft TQ at 1.8 bar (endurance tune) with this BB Red .... so perhaps, we are a little out of the operating range in terms of oil pressures .... but we do have the FP Oil lines and filter ......
