I'm guessing the seals in the turbo are starting to get tired.... Wondered if anyone has had problems with the crank vent or something else similar besides the turbo. Car has 47k, pipes, tbe, 26psi on stock turbo, and a kick *** tune. Any ideas? Anyone else needed a turbo rebuild at or around 50k mark?

 

Smoke from the exhaust?

What color is it? Blue, white, black, just in boost or also at idle?

Some black smoke in boost is normal..

 

Smoke is grey and only on wot. I'm thinking turbo seals.

 

Seems to be getting heavier as well... Been running 26psi on stock turbo for months. Well tuned though. No knock whatsoever . It's a little rich but the smoke isn't black.

 

Might be normal.. All turbo'd cars smoke..

 

Sorry, ugakirk, if I find your answer slightly unacceptable. "All turbo'd cars smoke" is simply not true.

 

Just saw a post on evoxforums where a guy said changed my pcv and fixed my WOT smoke problem.

With a turbo back exhaust it will, especially with a test pipe.

I've never seen an X emit zero smoke. Regardless of how lean it is.

I've had a turbo back for about a year now and I have a built motor. Still no smoke.
