Quartermaster Clutch for the X

So I've been browsing for a new clutch and it crossed my mind to search for the quartermaster one as that's what my friend runs in his evo 8. They apparently make a street and race version for the X so I was wondering if anybody has actually used either version of it and what their impressions were. I know how the 8 leg race version drives for the 8, so I would think it would be the same?

Also, since it converts to a push style instead of a pull type would upgrading from the stock plastic CMC still be necessary? I was looking at going with the AMS CMC upgrade just to get some pedal adjustability and peace of mind knowing it won't explode, but was also thinking that a CMC upgrade would be necessary anyway to adjust the travel of the hydraulic throwout bearing as to not over extend it.

any insight here?

What are you reasons for wanting to convert?

From what I have seen, all the added parts conversion and cost is just not worth it.

Well the first reason for wanting to convert is that you can shift quite a bit faster and not get locked out of gears with the push style. Second is the clips you can pop off on the pull type from shifting too hard, or too fast. Yes a clutch fork stop will help, but only so much. I'm not so much worried about the life of the clutch or the daily driving characteristics as I don't drive the car a lot at all. Just looking for real world experience from anybody who has converted to a push style on their X.

Edit: the quartermaster comes with the hydraulic throw out bearing so theres not really an added cost.
