What to do with the ETS intake..?

Hey guys so im thinking of getting the ETS intake and UICP to go along with my V2 catback. I was originally thinking of getting the Cobbs Access port, but now I have found out that they dont have maps for the ETS intake. Where I live there arent any places that tune our cars. I know that the reps from ETS have mentioned on the fourms that we can run the intake without a tune for a bit and there shouldnt be any issues, but is it okay to run it without a tune for a while (well over a year until I can drive somewhere in Washington and get a proper tune done)? Is there another route I can go instead of the Cobb? Any help would be much appreciated !

Thanks!

You can run the intake w/o a tune, but I personally wouldn't do it, don't be surprised if your car idles like ****. How about a e-tune? Get the tatrix cable cheaper and better than AP.

I would contact an e-tunner first find out exactly what you need

You got chetrickerman , hollywood , goldenevo and others here that can help you.

As a minimum you need the following:

Wideband with logging capability
Evoscan to log
Tactrix 2.0 cable.

They will then let you know if you need to buy a 3 port ( most of them would prefer you running one)

I have the ETS UICP and intake on a 11 Evo MR I'm selling, it runs smooth and to my knowledge isn't running any sort of tune.

IF you want to get an etune done even for the access-port. Contact the guys over at English Racing. They have literally done 100's of cars with our products and have tunes available.

Thanks!

I have been driving with an ETS intake for quite a while with no tune.... You should not have an issue, and no rough idle here.

+1 Those guys are the real deal. Everything they touch turns to gold. Problem is, they will charge you the price of gold to touch anything.
