Once you take the lower splash shield off, there is a ton of room to slide the intercooler out from the bottom and slide the new one in. Also the upper intercooler coupling I pointed the screws towards the front of the car so that I could screw/unscrew them through the front grill with a long phillips head screwdriver. The hardest part honestly is the licp because you have to take the coupling off the lower part of the intercooler to slide the intercooler out. Ill post some pics and a diy in the next couple of days.

No I understand how you did it, but taking off the front bumper takes maybe ten minutes and is a lot less of a pain in the *** than removing the undertray IMO.

In my experience with past cars(370z, supra, sti) everytime I took the bumper off, no matter how ocd or careful I was, I either scratched the paint or it never fit the same as oem, so I try to keep it on whenever possible. YMMV but id much rather take off the undertray instead of the bumper. Also have you taken the undertray off? It literally takes me 2 min.

For reference here is a picture of how much room you have to install an ets 4" intercooler from underneath the car without taking the front bumper off.

Never made much sense to me why AMS used the entire one piece bracket instead of like this. To me this style mounting is a much better design then AMS almost ensuring a perfect fitment.

^^ Thanks for posting up the picture for reference. We use the 2 factory mounting tabs on the bottom and the 2 side tabs. (4 mounting points)

Thanks!

Michael
