Competition Clutch Stage 3+ done 1600 miles ago, AMS CMC kit 200 miles ago, and now 3rd gear is popping out under normal driving (not during WOT). Any ideas? Doesn't always happen, but frequent enough to hate it. Just changed the fluids with Redline mix.

 

Could a bad synchro cause this issue? Other than that I'm clueless, although I wouldn't think the clutch would have any effect on it just randomly popping out of gear...

 

My old evo 8 did this when it had a failed 2nd gear synchro.. but be sure that the shifter is engaging the gear properly and something isn't out of adjustment.

 

have a customer with the exact situation, Exedy twin, AMS CMC, redline mix done but didnt help with the problem, and its a 2013 with 5k miles on the clock.
figuring the snap ring on the 3rd gear syncro broke or popped off but either way tranny will be dropped and fixed and diff pin upgrade as well.
