Tial Q is a vent to atmosphere valve. You wont find many people recommending that arrangement on the evo x.

Many people run the Tial QR however.

Well, I dont know that you NEED a blow off valve as the stock diverter valve is pretty capable and has excellent drivability characteristics. If you are running higher boost (25+) and the stock unit is bleeding off boost, then yes an aftermarket blow off valve (or modifying the factory unit) is recommended.

The tial qr is the valve AMS uses and it fits their intercooler pipe setup best (uses a tial flange). Some people love it, others say the spring needs to be changed.

There are a couple of other valves out there that are good as well (synapse synchronic, cobb, turbosmart dual port (though many may disagree with me on that last one).
You can do a search, there are plenty of reviews here.

I got a cobb set up on my car, I recently bought the car so all I know it has cobb intake, pipes, bov, exhaust. It feels that it needs a bigger bov but im still new with turbos and the evo.
