Auto x, DD and final drive

Hey guys im new to autox and recently my reverse gear went to ish. Now i dd my car as well but my track build will be oriented towards autox , so since im looking foward to a transmition rebuild i was considering going to a taller FD to make my long trips a little more comfortable and dont hit boost till passing 80 mph.i just wonder how would this affect my autox performance since ussually in auto x u dont pass second gear . If any of u have some info on how does 1 st and 2Nd perform with a taller gear i would appreciate the info thx in advance

i think hes trying to say when he drives at 80 mph on the interstate his turbo is at 1 or 2 psi, and hed like it not to be..... i think...

i think a taller final drive would hurt you in auto cross if you get the 4.11 because the gears get way longer and youll need 500 hp to wriing them out in a decent amount of time

^ wowzers thats alot of thinkin hahaha

however if your only use first and second due two shorter coarses it might be for you.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...periences.html

you only pick up a couple mph in them gears, that could help.

i know you have a newer lancer but im pretty sure the gearing is close to the 8s and 9s, dont quote me on that, might be worth researching, i didnt see you had a new lancer until this post LOLZ

unless that has sst , then i have no idea, sorry shoulda looked a little harder before i posted
unless your car domain is your old car.... and you have a 5 speed evo. im so confused haha

theres for a new evo x... looks like could be beneficial, unless you had to use 3rd in autox then youd need a little more power to make that gear useful
