Question Clutch Question

Recently bought my EVO X and after a few days I noticed it was hard to put in gear, particularly 1st and 2nd. After about 1,500 miles my clutch has started to slip and now has no grab at all.

I took it to the dealer where I purchased it and they said my clutch has gone out. I don't abuse the car at all as it's my daily driver. It just seems odd to me and correct me if I'm wrong because this is my first manual vehicle. Also it wasn't a gradual slip. I went out to get dinner and when I got back in my car to drive home it was like my clutch went out within 10 miles.

My clutch still has resistance when I engage it and I thought if the clutch went out that it would be limp. I noticed a oily substance on the ground where I park my vehicle today, brake fluid possibly? Could it possibly be my CMC or slave and the dealer been wrong? I know they did a recall on the CMC a few months back and I doubt mine has been replaced. I also am pretty sure the dealer would love to sell me a new clutch. BTW the dealer I took it to was a nissan dealer not mitsu.

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Will the car move at all? You could have popped the CMC, did you get it replaced under the service recall?

The car will move a little bit, but it has no torque whatsoever and is rapidly getting worse. I can be parked with the engine running, put the vehicle in gear and let the clutch out and the engine won't die. The car will just slowly start rolling forward. It's grabbing a little bit, but not much. It just feels like my clutch is never engaged or disengaged and stuck somewhere in between. I bought the car less than a month ago. I'm not sure if CMC has been replaced yet, but if I had to guess I'd say no. I confirmed today that it is leaking brake fluid where I believe the CMC is located.

Yeah you've blown the CMC. Take it into the dealer and have the service recall done, they will fix it for free.

At first i thought maybe he had a leaking rear main seal. That happened to my brand new 08 X just suddenly started slipping with less than 2k miles. oil had dripped on the pressure plate.

I thought when the cmc goes its pedal to the floor, maybe its leaking and didn't split in half?

I guess brake fluid by the pedals is a dead give away though.
