AMS Catback or Tomei Ti-Catback

Hi Guys, just wanted your opinion as to which catback system performs the best and maybe has the better exhaust sound ? I have purchased the AMS Test pipe, Cobb downpipe and Megan Racing O2 housing already, my evo x is JDM spec (RHD).
Looking forward to some feedback from you guys.

I switch from a magnaflow recently to the ams single because magnus is blowing them out on a super sale. Couple of things to note about the ams:
1.Its half the weight of the magnaflow, 304 ss is pretty too.
2. Its a lot louder, annoying loud but mind you the insulation hasn't been fully worked in on mine while I write this.
3. Sounds amazing, no fart sounds, no high pitched buzzing , just a nice evo turbo sound but still really loud
4. Construction is amazing and the design is practically straight 3" piping with 1 minor bend and no kneck down or taper to the cat. I think the tomei has a slight taper at the cat but its hardly noticeable.
5. Because the exhaust is so straight it sits low in context with the diffuser in the back to avoid hitting the rear subframe. Ground clearance at the back is the same but the tomei, greddy, even the CNT single have a better look in my opinion. So if its about looks don't do ams. The ams was built for one thing and one thing only and its to make your evo x go faster.

They should both perform similarly, and the tone would be a matter of preference, but the Tomei catback will be significantly lighter if that is a concern.

I can get you awesome pricing on either one, feel free to shoot me a PM!

Thanks for the information so far guys and its about performance for me not so much looks when it comes to the exhaust barrel itself which is the part of the exhaust that anyone would see in any case.
If the performance on both are the same I'm thinking of going with the AMS one.

They're both single exits, and they're both 3". The Tomei does neck down to 2.75" when it connects to the cat, but besides that, it's 3". Like it was already said, the Tomei is SUPER LIGHT, which I guess weight savings isn't a bad thing.

All that being said, it's still a catback, and I don't think you'd see much of a difference between the two on the dyno. I do LOVE the sound of my Tomei though

Yeah, give Magnus motor sports a call, they have overstock and are getting rid of them at cost.

Personally, I think the Tomei looks better. But I'd buy the AMS over the Tomei because it doesn't taper and sounds great in person. Tomei sounds good too though.

had Tomei on my last Evo X, and it was just an amazing product. It has a very distinct sound and with a HF cat it was not too loud but sounded amazing under WOT. And Titanium looks amazing after it goes through its heat cycle.

I have the Tomei and it is very loud. It looks great and is super light. AMS is my favorite brand though. Of course AMS sells Tomei on their website. The AMS single exit exhaust looks strange to me for some reason. It just looks cheap compared to the Tomei. I beleive only the Tomei has the burnt blue tips if that is of any importance to you.
