Maf housing question

hey guys,

I know this has been asked but I searched and found conflicting advice.
Im currently tuned to 346/356 with:
ets intake
ets uicp
ets 3.5 ic
Cobb BOV
ams dp
test pipe
perrin cb
Grimm 3port
dw65

I have waiting for install:
EF3 turbo
Full race manifold
ID 1000's

Will I need a bigger maf housing to optimize my setup or will the stock work for me. Im hoping for 420whp on a jet with 93 only. Also is my goal too lofty or what can I expect here?

Really depends on the tuner. There is a chance you will hit 5v at high boost. If you use a tuner like ESPEC, you won't need a MAF upgrade, he can run a hybrid speed density calibration and the factory MAF will work fine.

Thanks!

just looked at my log of my current tune and im hitting 4.6 at 26lbs boost. Would you recommend I go with a bigger maf to be safe or can I get away with it? Im not on a strict budget and if will yield me more hp then im all over it.

Moore Automotive sells a 3.5 inch intake for $250-ish? It comes as a full kit for the EVO X but you will need maf calibration which is pretty esay. I hit 4.7 volts at 25 psi with S2 cams using the factory maf housing and ETS intake. The Moore unit has been on their shop car making over t hp so it's pretty much the last intake you're going to use...

General rule of thumb on a Dynojet:

Stock 2.7" = 450 whp
3.0" = 500 whp
3.5" = 600 whp
4.0" = 700 whp (or just go Standalone...)
