thread locker??

I have a stripped thread on my SST. It leaks very slowly. About a drop every few hours. I was wondering if anyone has experience using thread locker? I tried finding a larger plug and tapping a new thread but it is impossible for me to drill it properly because the inside components of the transmission are too close to the hole. I can't even find a larger plug that will fit because their is a metal lip in the way and no larger bolt will fit. I figured my best bet would be using some sort of sealant on the bolt. The other two drain plugs are fine so i figured I can use those for future oil changes and just keep the third one sealed up but I'm not sure what type of sealant to use for this process? I'm assuming i will need something resistant to high heat. If anyone has experience with a similar issue I would greatly appreciate your input.

Also, would thread locker dry properly after draining my oil? I noticed that it drains for a long time. I left it a whole day when I changed my oil and the drain holes still had oil in them and it was slowly leaking out even when I tried drying it out with a rag. I don't know if the remaining oil would be significant enough to interfere with the process
