Six speed shifting issue

Question about a problem I am having with shifting. Getting into reverse is difficult, driving forward a little first helps me be able to engage it. Sometimes it shifts fine, sometimes the gears are difficult to put in to. Very inconsistent about when its shifting well and when it is not. I have an exedy twin disc clutch. My question is anything stated above sound familiar as to what to look at? Transmission issue, clutch, possibly slave or master cylinder? Or does that sound like potentially anything else? More info needed?

had the same problem and for me was a really simple stupid fix the intake some how dropped a half inch and got in the way of the shift linkage on top of the tranny causing it to catch every once in awhile was an easy fix for me but freaked me the fck out when I couldn't put back into park one day lol

OP has a 6 speed manual Evo, you have a SST ralliart. 2 totally different transmissions.

Cables do some stupid things. I have a spare set if you end up needing them.

I can't offer any advice, but I also experience this inconsistent shifting. I took my car to a reputable evo shop, let one of the techs drive it and he said it shifted perfectly. So I think I may have higher expectations about how smooth shifting should be or it's because this is my first manual (even though I have been driving for over 2 years).
