QTP electric exhaust cutout

When I had my EF3 installed and tuned for a few weeks ago he tuned for the cutoff but unsure how. But the dyno graph shows about a 6hp gain with it open.
It should last if you use it correctly. I don't open or close it when on the throttle. I'll usually do it at a light or push the clutch in and coast while it's opening or closing. And I only hold the switch for about 9 sec to open or close.
