AWC control fluid

Well, my 2010 Evo X SE is out of the body shop and going in for State Inspection. Today I checked the AWC Control fluid reservoir in the trunk after the car sat overnight and the fluid is approx 3/4" below the low level mark on the reservoir (had the AWD System Service required on the dash twice after brief driving and starting again).
Can't get the Mitsubishi recommended fluid by tomorrow (MITSUBISHI MOTORS Genuine ATF SP III) so I am thinking of topping it up with an ATF SP IIII for the time being.
So far in the brief time since I bought the car its been in my hands since I was rear ended for 3 full days and in the Body Shop for 3 1/2 weeks, I have driven less than 100 miles in it.........
Since it needs inspected before I can go on the road (legally) and to ensure it makes it through inspection I figure a quick top up with the ATF SP IIII fluid I can get in time will be okay and not cause any harm. I read through many threads on here and another forum and it seems that this choice has been acceptable for top up.

So those that know please weigh in with your thoughts.

Thanks.

You should be fine. I use castrol import mulit automatic ATF fluids. It is equivalent to mitsubishi sp-III.
