Help me flesh out this theory.

Im looking to brain storm a way to put together a torque monster. 500wtq with close to 4k spool. if that's even possible. so far what im coming up with that will get me close is a 2.4 built motor with TMP cams with a EFR 8374 turbo kit. the gas has to be 92 octane with 50/50 meth. anyone got any cleaver ideas or discussion? of course there numbers aren't absolute but the closer I get to the numbers the more awesome it would be

Current Power Mod List:
AMS Single Exhaust, Test pipe And Down Pipe
AMS Intake
AMS Intercooler
AMS Hard pipes
GrimSpeed 3 Port
Exedy Stage 1 HD clutch
ACT Lighten Flywheel
Tuned on Cobb AP by Jorge At JMS to 324/320

Turbo, injectors, fuel pump, and E85 should get you there.

He said it has to be 92 octane with meth. Since you are increasing to a 2.4L, your spool should improve as well. I'm guessing with that turbo if its T3 you should be able to reach your goals.

You think a t3 would have enough flow to hit the torque levels though? I know it's weird chasing torque and not hp but I guess what I'm aiming for is a really meaty power band with break neck acceleration.

It's for road course racing. Jack of all trades type of car. From scca to drag racing and freeway beat downs. Don't need to win um all just surprise most lol

why anyone would choose a t3 over a t4 twin scroll is beyond me.

The 8374 t4 twin scroll will spool lovely on a 2.4l. All mods are an excellent choice, but i'd reccomend doing a full blown stage 5 head port + larger valves and like a MAP rev 3 intake manifold. Combine that with the stuff you get from Full Race for their EFR kit, and you've got a setup that 99.5% of evo owners will not be able to match

Actually I was thinking the same thing. But I've heard the AMS head will out flow the MAP one. And all things considered the TDX is in the same price range as ordering a crate motor, efr turbo kit, fuel system and triple plate clutch. In a perfect world I would have an AMS block with a full race efr kit. I wonder how their crate motor is 21k and the complete tdx package is only 6k more. But you are right. Efr 8374 will out spool and make more power then the AMS 900xp kit.
