Need help! Evo wont start! No spark!

So far I have had 2 mechanics look at my car, both said relatively the same thing, either crank sensor or it's not starting because of the airbags have been deployed. I bought my car wrecked and it hasn't started yet. I am getting fuel and air but no spark. The strange thing is when I tested it for spark a while ago there was spark, im sure. But when the mechanic came, he tested it and he got no spark. Why? Another problem is I tried to get to my airbag module and someone had taken it out before I had bought it. My question is can I buy a new one and just plug and play? Or does it have to match my vin number, etc. I am stuck! The engine cranks no problem, it won't start, sometimes it will hesitate and feel like it's about to start but dies again. I have changed the battery, checked every single fuse in the car, fuel pump seems to work, there is enough gas for it start, I cranked the engine by hand. I don't know what to do. Could it be the anti-theft system? Please help me out! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Well if you saw spark and your mechanic didnt maybe time for a new mechanic. Also if it almost starts then dies then there is prolly most likely spark. Have you done a compression test to see if the engine is actually makeing any pressure?

I wanted to do a compression test and even got a compression tester but i didn't fit my engine. Would it be anything with the airbag system? Is it possible?

My 2 cents would be no it wouldnt be... I would think your engine has something else wrong with it. I would get a compression check done first then go from there. I mean it could be due to anti theft but the fact it almost starts and then dies is not a good sign..

Right but if is massive engine failure that you cant see it will still just crank for days even if it doesnt have a hole in the block. Had a civic drop a valve and destroy itself but it would still crank forever

So I found something new today, I get spark one time in the 3rd sparkplug, only once, never sparks again after each time I try to start it. All the other ones seem dead. Anyone have any ideas of what my problem could be?

Oops forgot to mention that I have 150 psi on all 4 cylinders. My mechanic told me to try installing an airbag module, he thinks thats the problem. I unfortunately don't have a OBD 2 scanners I can't scan for codes

Your mechanic or local part stores (e,g; Advanced, AutoZone, O'Rieley, PepBoys) should scan codes for you for free.

You could buy a blue tooth code reader from ebay. (I got mine for about $10 shipped). Then download a reader app of your choice. (I used TORQUE pro from the Android app store for $5).
