Hi Guys!! I am pretty new since I just picked up my 2015 Evolution GSR just a few days ago. Have what I feel could be an issue......car has about 150 miles on it. When up shifting from 2nd gear to third I feel like the transmission is notchy....it does not go into gear very smooth. Feel like something prevents it from being smooth. When downshifting from 4th to 3rd it feels smooth and much better. Any similar experiences? Is it just because the car is not broken in? or is it a linkage adjustment issue....or worse? Please help

 

This 1000% NORMAL. There are things to help smooth it out if you want to start buying parts already, but it is nothing to worry about otherwise.
Mine is exactly the same.

Fluids, bushings, etc...look at the kracka package at map I believe.

 

It's a very common problem with these transmissions, but I wouldn't call it normal

I have shifter / underhood bushing, weighted knob, redline transmission oil cocktail and still experience a slight third gear grind. Usually after 20 minutes when the transmission warms up it improves drastically, but it's still obnoxious.

 

I have driven 3 different ones. All brand new. All exact same feel. Normal for evo X as far as I'm concerned.
