Gtx3076r tune next week

Hey all,

picked up my GTX3076, S1 cams, ID1000s and 1300's incase i run out of fuel (new Head gasket/head studs as well), already have full bolt ons & 4" IC but curious if my exeddy stage 1 clutch is gonna be able to handle what i throw at it?

- plan on keeping numbers below 450whp/ not sure what the TQ curve is gonna be at.

** also, my 4" IC mating to the stock 90degree UICP pipe doesn't seem to be working to the whatever brand UICP, i have ETS lower piping that works fine, does anyone have experience with the ETS UICP mating to a 4" depo IC with no issues?

Anything inside built? Outside the cams/studs?
If you're a stock bottom end, I'd probably say your TQ will stay around the 350 specifically to keep the rods in check.

I'm going to ballpark a 91 tune at 410/340 and E85 440/360. And when I say "ballpark", I mean, I'm just throwing numbers out of my head because I'm bored at work. But the key is that TQ will stay pinned to around 350 due to a stock block.

The Exedy Stage 1 HD is rated for 470TQ at the wheel (ExedyUSA), which I don't see either setup getting to. The non-HD Stage 1 is rated for 396TQ (ExedyUSA).

Your clutch will be fine, you'll not be coming close to its limits on stock block.

GTX3076 Can totally flow enough to end a stock block. Specifically the rods. The pistons will be ok if the tuning is done right (ie: limit knock events when finding timing/boost balance).
Previous post (HatrixMouse) about 350tq was a suggestion given the stock block. The tuner will have to either be told, or he will know to limit the torque on a stock block. Obviously this turbo is capable of producing higher torque numbers.

Great turbo, and I look forward to the results.

thanks,
its getting towed down to the shop monday this upcoming week for the tune. I'm gonna keep it conservative for now just incase. i don't have the means to pull my block as of yet & build everything up, but hopefully within the year. Will even adding a set of H beams and new rod bolts significantly increase overall power/tq capability of the engine? or do should i just save the extra for the I / TT beams. I don't plan on going higher than 500's and I'm no rush to get there, had the car for about 5 years and am now just starting to buy/bolt on everything ive wanted.

I'm getting tuned for this turbo on my X at the end of the month or next. We can compare numbers.

Got the same setup running stock cams on 93oct on a mustang dyno, with conservative tune, according to my tuner. I made 430whp and 360 torque.
The car pulls amazing I got the exedy HD stage 1, and I love it.
Look me up in Instagram, I got the dyno sheet.

everything is installed, car is down at my tuners still. i had to leave California for a couple weeks so he's holding off to tune it until i come back (should be Tuesday or so)

- switched upper piping to the black ETS so everything is uniform now, my MBC to the EBCS & switched the IWGA to the turbosmart.
- did ID 1000s, kept the DW65 for now & hopefully everything will be smooth, kinda iffy about my turosmart 50/50 recirc/vta but we'll see when I get back.

its a mustang dyno, I'm gonna shoot for 370/80tq or so and 400+ whp for now.
- i just located a lower end I'm gonna pick up and build over the next year slowly so rather keep it running on low numbers for now !

so made 380 on 91pump with horrible timing.
- my ecu isn't advancing anything further currently and we cant figure the issue.

- changed cam gears, checked solenoids, changed all fluids. who the **** knows. should be over 400 on 91 easily once i figure this **** out.

those numbers do look a bit low...what bout tq? what boost you running and how far off are you from what's in your timing map compared to what you're actually hitting? mivec hitting it's targets?

so tq was sitting around 340 at 22/23 lbs.

- someone suggested last night to put some miles on the car to get the air out of the cam gear from install & the oil back circulating through & the mivec should be be operating better, which makes sense to me actually. so heading back down to SD this morning to drive it around and then hopefully get it back on the dyno.

- it is a mustang dyno just for info sake.
