Gtx3076r tune next week
well I'm really at a loss for wtf else i can even really check, oil pressure is good, intake cam gear changed, solenoids cleaned and flushed. of course id prefer not to pay the 550 for the magnus delete and figure this out on its own. i will be following each electrical connection this weekend as well as any oil lines.
- ill post logs when i go back down this weekend but not sure if that will really help anything. i mean the car feels a little more woken up over the past couple days of me driving it without boost. its probably in my head though haha

so, did a high pressure oil flush today to try to clear out the filter in the head without pulling it. pulled the cams over the weekend and soaked them in oil, checked the ends, gonna take it back down to the tuner later this week & hopefully get it back with better numbers & reliable cahhhhr.
Any updates? Here is what mine ended up doing, here is a link to the build as well https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/pr...l#post11575844
Good luck with getting things worked out!

haha yes ironically i figured everything out.
- so replaced the cam solenoids, no luck, replaced the cam gears 2x, no luck, replaced the springs, no luck, pretty much purchased a complete new head with no luck, was about to purchase the AMS cam cap and get it honed when i read about the cam bearings occasionally being faulty. Ordered the 3 different sets of MOPAR cam bearings (1.87$ compared to like 15.00$ per set)
PN's for reference incase someone else is having this issue.
1016A030 x 2 camshaft bearing, i dent mark 1 black 1.87$
1016A031 x 2 camshaft bearing, i dent mark 2 colorless 1.87
1016A032 x 2 camshaft bearing, i dent mark 3 green 1.87
&
INTAKE MOPAR cam gear 05047021AA - 105$
EXHAUST MOPAR cam gear 05047022AA - 99$
got the new bearings in & everything is working perfectly, after almost 5 months my car is running perfect no issues with mivec. been an excruciatingly painful process, and spent hundreds if not close to a couple thousand extra dollars for parts that were under 5$ total ha.

So bad cam bearings caused the ECU to refuse to advance timing?
How interesting and good to know. This kind of closure to a thread hardly ever happens cleanly, and we can all learn from it. When something goes wack I always start with the cheapest thing and work up (in price). Knowing that these CAM bearings can cause this and are cheap too boot is valuable. Thanks!

Oem gears were not cracked, mivec spring thing engaged pneumatically, but replaced them anyways just to see. No change either time the gears were swapped, making me think '**** it i want my car, lets buy magnus'
- came across a thread on FB in regards to the bearings eventually & spoke with a dude having the same issues who gave me the 3 diff bearing sizes. 5150 checked out the bearings on the cams & couldn't find any malfunction & clearance was good but they swapped em out anyways since i got new sets sent up & boom, it works.
- from all of this i can just assume it was the bearings although i don't think anyone will ever know for sure haha. Just happy to have my car, it pulls so hard!! even for a little baby 76R
nice! yeah i have half the money set aside now for a built 2.0. as of this morning. should have the rest soon, have a bunch of other **** going on so cant really dump too much in a single sitting. I'm so happy with the power as of now, for such a conservative tune it makes me smile daily haha
