Open dump downpipe

Anyone in the UK running one on their X? love the screamer sound but it seems mostly popular in the US. If there are ones available for our RHD cars then where can we purchase them and how much? I'm running stock turbo with full 3'' decat exhaust with turbo elbow @ around 440bhp. Will the new downpipe require a remap? will I lose power putting it on? and is it just a simple case of bolt off bolt on with the new downpipe?

Thanks

With the stock turbo, it might make about 10-15 more hp. And you should retune to optimize everything for the increased exhaust flow. I'm not sure of any that fit the RHD cars though. The steering rack input shaft is right where the dump tube is routed on the LHD cars. I guess you could do a hood exit dump..

Are you saying you know that none fit the RHD evo X? Have you worked on a RHD evo X? Hood exit just sounds like expensive work to get done professionally. I just wanted to bolt on the damn downpipe and be done with it. I didn't actually think there would have been difference between where the turbo and downpipe are located on a LHD car compared to its RHD counterpart. I emailed map US who do a open downpipe for the evo X on eBay, they replied to my question saying they don't know lol. Great.

I looked up a picture of a RHD drive car. The turbo setup is the same. It's actually the rack and pinion that's in the way. Specifically, the input of the rack where it goes through the firewall. The space is occupied is pretty much exactly where the waste gate pipe goes for the open dump downpipe. What I'm referring to is circled in red in the picture.

Thanks. Hmmm that might or might not be in the way I can't be sure but I'm sure it can't be too hard to fabricate the open downpipe to dump into a clear zone? Any idiot exhaust garage should be able to sort it out I would have thought

Having installed open dump sown pipes, I can tell you with 99% certainty that It would be about impossible to get it to fit. Because to make room for the dump pipe, the "main" pipe runs a bit closer to the tcase. And you can't move it to the right and run the dump tube between the main pipe and the tcase because the main pipe wouldn't be able to attach to the rest of the exhaust. There just isn't much room down there unfortunately. Hell, just getting an open dump DP installed on a LHD X is a bit of a feat. It take some finagling to get it in there.
