I purchased an evo x ecu for my lancer de that I turboed. However after I put the vin in the ecu the car cranks but doesn't turn over to start. Also with my original ecu before I would start the car the ecu would click a few times the evo one does not. Any ideas?

 

And why are you running an evo x ecu if all you did was turbo it? I don't think they would share very many of the same characteristics at that point would they?

 

My ecu isn't working properly and matching a map isn't as easy I thought for some reason with my ecu. So I got an evo one as many people do that.

 

Isn't the ECU tied in with the immobilizer? I thought it was so in that case simply coding the VIN wouldn't completely integrate it.
