Rebuilt motor oil Debris

I recently had my engine rebuilt with a new short block pistons rings rods and had the head flattened and and the valves Re lapped

I've now done two oil changes once at 200km and now 1000km

So what I'm wondering is

How much debris ie, shavings chips aluminum brass and steel Is acceptable?!?

The first oil change a 200 km showed very little
My 1000 km shows much more nothing massive but still a significant more amount of material in my oil

prolly should just send off your oil for analysis and they could prolly give you some insight into whats going on in there.

That's all brass man....Doesn't look good for your bearings. And the oil looks weird/milky also... You definitely shouldn't see more trash the farther along you go. There is definitely a developing issue. Your turbo and the crankshaft/connecting rods all have bearings that make brass trash if there is a problem, so this needs to be investigated.

Send the analysis in. First thing I would do is pull the intake off the turbo and check for excess shaft play, its a lot let less work than pulling the pan and pulling rod caps if you find your issue in the turbo. When my stock turbo went out, it **** out a bunch of trash into the pan.

Also:

Did your previous motor blow up? Or did you just build it for more strength?

Engines should never produce brass. That is definitely not fine.

Engine builder wants to avoid responsibility and tells you to drive it anyway. When engine dies its your fault and your wallet cries?

Im curious to know what the engine builder tried to say to explain the large amount of brass pieces were in your oil.

He said that since the last engine had catastrophic bearing failure and we reused a lot of the components there was no way to assure that all the material was cleaned out even though he deep cleaned the reused components.

Wow. That's pretty much an unacceptable answer. Also, the oil cooler should have been replaced. If they didn't do that, or recommend it, that is on them. The oil pan, valve cover, etc, all should have been just fine if thoroughly/properly cleaned.
