Okay I have read tons of stuff on different forums and the sticky polls. I still want to know what I can do to fix this issue and what the problem is for my car specifically based off what I am describing. When I start the car in the morning when its cold, I let it warm up. I can put the clutch in and shift through all my gears like butter, reverse always works great i have never had an issue with it regardless of the temps outside. When I put it into first gear and then try to put it in 2nd it almost does not want to go, infact i have been going straight to 3rd now that it gets colder in the mornings. When i go to shift out of 1st it almost kicks it out. I have less than 5k miles on a brand new clutch and flywheel. When trans got dropped for that install the fluids looked fine and got fresh fluids then. Changed my oil less than 4k miles ago. If im at a stoplight after the car had warmed up or on a nice day i have to get pass 3k rpms for it to shift smoothly into 2nd but then when its cold i have to go into 2nd around 1-2k rpms... if i choose to do so. is there any way to fix this? I only have problems from 1-2 2-3, the rest shift like butter and i want all of them to do so. I dont remember the car doing this when. i first got ita few months ago. has 92k miles on it now.

 

could it be a pivot point between shifter and lever that just need to be greased up on the joint?

Sounds like synchros to me too.....

 

Any chance the shift linkage got tweaked during the clutch install?
