So my clutch went out already on my recently purchased Evo that has 65000 miles on it. Im looking to replace the clutch obviously but I want to make sure Im getting one that my car can handle.. Im not sure on the power or torque is has but I can tell you what upgrades is has. It has the Ultimate Racing Exhaust System, Ultimate racing intercooler, Ultimate Racing intercooler hard piping. Upgraded air intake. I use it as a daily driver which is about 60 miles per day.

Im looking to spend about 700-800 on parts... my initial thoughts are the south bend clutch stage two but I want to make sure that 495 ft-lbs is enough.

You're not even close to the limit of the stock clutch with the mods you have. I've been running an EFR 7163 turbo with 400+ whp and 350+ wtq for over a year on the stock clutch wit no signs of slipping.

Exedy HD stage 1 clutch is what you want.

Would you suggest a new fly wheel? or just to re surface it?

 

Depends if anything has been done to the current one in the past, but if you replace the flywheel I'd get another OEM one.
