MAP cast manifold hardware alternative

So this past weekend I decided to finally swap my stock manifold/turbo for the FP MHI 18k and MAP cast manifold I had purchased last year. For anyone that has purchased or is planning on purchasing the MAP cast manifold, you're aware that they require you to remove the top left and top right manifold studs from the cylinder head in order to use the supplied ARP hardware. I personally was not a fan of that option. My Evo X is my daily driver and it now has 90k miles on it. I was not about to risk snapping a stud off in the cylinder head from it being seized. I knew the stock nuts were going to be too large for the MAP cast manifold as the runners are significantly larger than stock. I began to search around for an alternative and I found one that works flawlessly. They're called metric jetnut's. They're the M10x1.25 thread pitch we need but they come in a 12mm flanged nut instead of the OEM 14mm flanged nut, so they'll fit in a small tight space. Best part is you can find them for $3.00 a nut.

Hope this helps some of you guys who don't want to remove the studs from the head in risk of one snapping and being screwed.

Cheers!

That was a good idea to use the nuts.

But the studs will come out easy after you use a lil bit of liquid wrench and using 2 stock nuts to take them off.

I'm sure they do come out easy, but I didn't wanna risk it
