The "front pipe" which is the downpipe, has the same part number for all years except 2008.

The resonator pipe (pipe between cat and muffler) has the same part number.

I did this research because my 2014 stock exhaust drones like crazy at 75-80 MPH and I wanted to see what my options are to fixing this. Older posts indicate that the earlier cars are quieter and in 2011, Mitsubishi even states in their marketing that the exhaust is louder.

So is there a sound difference between 2008 and 2010? It has a different part number. Clearly, 2011+ has the loudest muffler but what is the difference between 2008 and 2010? I'm guessing that 2008 has the quietest, then 2010, then 2011+ but that is just a guess.

Lastly, what about that stock front pipe? Is there a difference in the 2008 version?

I dont think so? Idk, why parts numbers are different. It should be same all years tho.
