14 Evo making odd sound from downpipe/testpipe area

Hi,

My car recently started making a very odd sound a few days ago. I believe its an exhaust leak possibly a bad gasket in between the downpipe-testpipe or the testpipe-mid pipe but I looked at them and they seem fine perfectly tight and not loose at all.

My whole exhaust is stock besides my ETS test pipe.

Should I replace them anyway or could it be something else?

Here is a link to the video

Thank you any advice is appreciated it.

Yep, sounds like an exhaust leak. Did you get the adapter flanges for each side or just bolt them straight up?

I have them bolted just straight up, do I need the adapter flanges to bolt up the ETS test pipe to the stock down pipe and the stock catback?

Thanks Robert

Yeah, the stock flanges are smaller and don't leave a lot of sealing surface. So, the adapter just increases the sealing surface so the gasket doesn't blow out.

For both sides of the test pipe or just the stockpipe to test pipe?

both sides if your running a stock catback. If you run a 3" downpipe or a 3" catback you don't need the adapters.

Or you can get remflex gaskets. They are reusable and seal much better than the vibrant gaskets.

These are what you need:
