Hey guys,

I had a clutch and flywheel installed that I bought used with a few thousand miles on it. The flywheel has this gap it in and the shop said it was from when they cut the dowel out to resurface it.

Does this sound legit?

 

The dowel must have been stuck and they cut a relief to get it out. The flywheel would need to be re-balanced now.
