The GTX is about $3k, plus new intake and other pipes, new injectors (mine are currently 1050) , whatever else I'm not accounting for, and a re-tune. So I'm guessing about $5k or more?

I'm sure the GTX is worth it, but it not going to happen any time soon for me. But I could have the K18 soon, and ready to install and tune for spring.
Thank for the help
The MHI-18K is a great street turbo. You'll love it.

I have ID1050x injectors , do you guys think they'l be enough to take full advantage of the K18?
I tried a few injector calculators and searched around a bit, but I figured you'd probably have a better answer than what I've found..which is all over the map

For E85, 1300 + a good fuel pump to take full advantage.

1000 will work but you’ll run out of fuel at some point.

on pump, send it with what you got

The 1050's will run out around 450whp on a dynojet with E85 and walbro 450 or Asnu 330 pump. They will be more than enough for pump gas.

Well I plan on sticking with the E85. I already have the walbro 450. And 450whp isn't to bad! So I'll probably go with that and get as much out of it as I can, then upgrade the injectors....again....sometime down the line.

I checked into the 1300 injectors, and they're another 900 bucks. My 1050s are new this year, so I'll stick with them for now at least

Still working on piecing this together. But is anyone running the 1200cc injector clinic injectors , with the 18k?
I was originally planning on switching to the 1300cc injector dynamics, but they're $400 more, than the 1200 IC ones.
I'm wondering if I need the extra 100 cc's and if they're worth it

The 1300cc ID's are fantastic injectors. They work well on pump and E85. Drivability is awesome. I wish I could still use them but I had to upgrade to 1700's for my power level.

I actually think I still have my set of 1300 ID's if you are interested.

I am interested. I bought my ID1050s less than a year ago, and it's killing me to have to spend full price on new 1300s.
What were you looking to get?

I had ID1050s and once I went E85 the move to bigger injectors is required for anything above the stock turbo. I could see I was running out of injector, and I didn't want to mess with the base fuel pressure. I switched to FIC 1200's and they work great, no problems.

what turbo are you running? And what kind of numbers are you making? I'm just trying to get an idea to put it in scale for myself.
Thanks for the info, by the way

Im also planning on running the 18k. My tuner recommend the FIC 1200's.

It's a 20G with a 9 blade TD05 turbine. That's not the point though. The point is that E85 requires 30% more fuel consumption than gasoline. So as soon as you start making some serious numbers the ID1050 are dangerously near becoming "static" (stuck open).
Here is my dyno graph, but what matters is I started around 220hp to the wheels:

FIC 1200's will be close to maxed on an 18k with E85, if not maxed if you push it to the ~475whp reason. They really arent as big as advertised, they're a only a smidge bigger than the 1100's they replaced, which also didn't flow as advertised. FIC rates them at 429whp for E85/turbo at 43.5psi base pressure.

I would stick with ID1300's. Or FIC's new 1440 Hi-Z.

I stand corrected, apparently I am running these at the edge now and then:
