Gt3576r reducer

So I recently bought my Evo and it has the gt3576r gen 2.. I was doing shifter bushing today and had to remove the intake to get to them. I noticed that the silicone intake boot to the turbo is hitting the shifter cable and i feel like it restricts some flow. The turbo is a 4” inlet and I have the map 3.5 intake. Is there a better inlet boot out there? Or anyone have any issues? I tried googling but can’t find anyone having an issue….

honestly no idea. Came with the car and no markings on it. But it’s a 45degree one and a section hits the shifter cables. Idk if a 90 degree would be able to even go with the intake..

I just bought the GTX3076R GEN2 with 4" intake like you. I was planning on using 4" SCAT hose and just have it take whatever shape is needed.

have to make sure it can hold the psi tho. I’m mine I need a 4”-3.5 reducer bc intake is a 3.5 map one

There is no pressure on the intake side. SCAT hose can take -4psi which would mean there was quite the restrictive air filter. I can keep it 4" without a reducer to the MAF with a custom MAF housing.
