New member with evo guts

So as the title suggests im a new member with a 98% full drivetrain from an evo x final and i need some guidance. i'm actually not too familiar with mitsubishi know hows as im much more of a pre 2000s (e30,e36,e28, etc) bmw guy with pretty much only deep knowledge of those german buckets.

Due to my family falling out our evo x final edition was the unfortunately one to be in the crossfire and ended up in ashes. Last year i finaly tore out the remnants and salvaged what i could which is basically complete mechanical drivetrain, subframe, brakes, engine, tranny etc. majority of electronics are toast so no harness, cluster or any remnants of interior. im very much mechanically inclined as ive recovered many old bmw metal just im not so much on the electrical side. ive had these parts just collecting dust for a long time as ive been preoccupied with my own cars but i wanted to see what could be done and be cost effective as i'm having a hard time finding a bare bones shell. Also just for confirmation the evo x final doesnt really have all that many differences compared to the regular high trim evo x right?

Basically i am just seeking some kinda direction as the remnants are just paperweight.

Thanks - Sunny

The FE is not any different than the corresponding same model year with a matching transmission as far as hard parts go. Wheels, trim, badges, and a minor factory tune are the big things. Really, if you have a drivetrain you just want to physically plug in get a donor with the same transmission type but blown up and you should be good to go with swaps.

I'm assuming ecu reprogramming to manual swap isn't as easy as other brands? Im thinking maybe it would fit in a regular lancer but from what I've been seeing they don't seem to really share the same chassis in the latest generation. Ironically the only ones I've been finding are running but have chassis damage and not the opposite.

I saw a lancer with an Evo X swap on youtube. Its basically the Evo X engine with a Lancer 5 speed. I think the ECU was reflashed or swapped out not 100% sure.

Evo X FE has different stronger valves and so there is a part difference there. Its a small difference but I think Mitsubishi casts a different number to identify it on the cylinder head.

Here is the link to the build:

I’ve done an Evo 4b11t swap in a lancer, as well as boosted a couple base 4b11na’s and they’re fun. But if you have the entire Evo driveline, including transmission, t-case, rear diff, subframes, etc I recommend waiting and finding an Evo rolling shell. Or just sell them all off individually if you would like to move on. You likely have 10-15K worth of parts

I actually would've like to move on but my mother who actually owned the car believes the engine is worth more than it actually is so she doesn't want me to sell it so I'm here stuck with a dozen projects to get through on top of this unfamiliar territory of rebuilding an evo lol. But I suppose I got no choice but to wait for another shell.
(you know what they say about having too many projects; it never ends)
