transmission warning advice

Wondering if I could get some feedback on an issue I hit. In June or July I received a warning light for my transmission. I panicked and shut the car off. I started it again and it came up for a second and cleared. I haven't seen the error return and no odd shifting. I will say that day was very hot a humid but I'm not sure if that can affect it. Should I be worried? I've been told that it means the transmission will fail and should be replaced or rebuilt. Has anyone seen something similar?

The code is p0702 I've heard it's a very generic code but my worry is spending that kind of money to rebuilt it. It's a good amount that I do not have lying around.

2015 Lancer Evo MR almost 60k miles and I did my transmission service at 30k.

thanks

I would check the wiring for any loose pins, connectors, frayed wiring, etc. as the first order of business.
