Evo X MAF Replacement Issues HELP

Hey guys,

im having bit of a really weird situation and any help would be great.

last week during a pull I got fuel cut and an engine light that showed me P0113 & P0102 - everything seemed to point towards the MAF so I replaced it. The car seemingly took and ran great until I noticed the AFR was now 12.5 at WOT (way more then it should be - I was typically seeing 10.9-11.5) and shortly after I got the same two codes.

Off a whim, because I replaced it with a used MAF, I tossed another in after completing a boost leak test, and all visuals to eliminate any other suspicions. And now the car runs okay again. Still lean but within 11-11.8 - BUT

Now my boost is either overboosting to 31-32psi (was set to 28psi and I use a MBC) or when I’ve turned it down even slightly, my turbo just won’t spool of a regular hit unless I gradually increase the throttle putting it into boost first.

im unsure if I can word this any other way to be more helpful but if anyone can toss some experience, 2 cents or anything it would be so helpful.

from my knowledge the MAF shouldn’t need re-scaling or anything because it’s in the same MAF housing and nothing has changed?
