I'm anticipating the price release at this point moreso than the car itself! It will have a big factor on whether I buy it or something else like the STi or 135i.

I belive a lot people are like you ! I am guessing the EVO X GSR start at $33.5k, the BMW 135i coupe will start at $35.5k and the Subaru STi will start at $34.5k.
The EVO X GSR with some option like HID,big rear spoiler ,etc. will go up to $35.5k. The BMW 135i with sport package,Premium package will go up to $38.5k.(Add Navi, you will need $40k for a fully loaded 135i) The Subaru STi with the only option Navi will go up to $37.5k.

So all three are from $35k to $40k. Which car are you going to get

I think your pretty damn clsoe with all those numbers. But I still want to see official #'s

If they all come in the $35k - $40k range this would probably be my choices in order. Still need to test drive though.

1. Evo 2. 135i 3. STi

I think that BMW 135i will be a bit cheaper than $35K, currently you can get a 328i for $32,400 and 335i for $38,900, also, the pricing of BMWs (especially the ones not built on US soil) will probably go up as the value of Euro currency is just killing the US Dollar hence making European products on US soil less and less financially attractive.

Anyway, I still think that when it comes to raw performance per $ Mitsubishi will lead the pack with Subaru not far behind, and although I like BMW as a company, the 1 series just doesn't look attractive aesthetically to me (I have seen it before in Europe and it looks as bad as on the photographs, I like the door creases though but front and rear just look awful, side profile isn't much better), it will be the most luxurious of the bunch but the AWD systems of Mitsu and Subie will make those two cars better handling performance wise.

3.135i

Now I can prove you are wrong for BMW 135i price, check this link:

How much for a base 135i ?? $36.5K , thats more than my guessing price !! So the BMW 135i will be aroutnd $37k to $42k depends on options. !!

The 135i starting price is $34,900 + $775 destination charge bringing total to $35,675. I'm sure you just misplaced your 5 and 6. Anyways thats not too bad. Hopefully the base X MR comes real close to this.

The Evo X MR should be no more than the 135i or that would suck.
