'08 Mitsu Evo Insider

http://www.mitsucars.com/MMNA/jsp/ev...x.do?loc=en-us

anyone else disapointed with the Evo Insider site on Mitsucars.com? they only have one article in there and it was "news" on 7/5/2007. kinda crazy how they haven't offered much additional info on the page in almost 4 months!

just had to vent a little

It looks as if either Mitsu didn't have the funds to support the page or they simply forgot about it as this should have been the place to get all the latest and greatest Evo X info before it would become available everywhere else. But it's not like the first time Mitsu screwed up.

Me too!

You beat me to posting this, I can't believe it either.
I have been planning for about two years to buy an X, and can honestly say that my interest is quickly disappearing !!!

Not just due to the lack of information from Mitsu, but from all of the press that it's getting.

If in fact the edge has been taken off of the driving experience, there are ALOT of options in the $30 to $40,000 range that cna provide fun IMHO.

Yeah, you beat me to posting this as well. . .

I have gotten wayyy more info from this website than Mitsubishi's EVOLUTION INSIDER!

turnrightracing, I absolutely agree with you, ever since the L.A. auto show and Mitsubishi coming out saying how great the new Evo is, the more I know about the X and the longer I go without knowing the price, the less and less interested I am becoming.

Although to their credit, it does say the Evolution is coming Mid-winter but I don't know if they are talking about the car itself or information on the website about the car.

I also registered on the website to get the updates, and in the place for comments, I indicted my displeasure with the lack of information.
I never got a reply or any other info as we all know!

^^^100% agree. Mitsu coulda paid someone $35-40k a year to run and manage the website, it'd be like pocket change to a company that size but instead they keep everyone in the dark.

I'm in the same boat, i loved the evo x when i first saw it at the 2007 detroit auto show. I saw it in magazines toating a possible 0-60 in 4.5sec. i was like wow this will be awesome! AWD so I can drive it in the winter, great handling, very fast in a straight line (believe it or not that is very important out here in michigan).

but now the numbers are coming in that it's about as fast as a mazda speed 6... a car i test drove and was not impressed with at all... sure it will handle better but I don't live in the mountains or where there are twisty curves all over. I was looking forward to the added speed as well, and the fact they can't even release a price when supposedly the first batch of these will be showing up in less than a month.. ridiculous. The dealers are no better. This whole lack of info and ignorance gives me huge doubts about buying this car, especially if it starts getting into the high $30s or tips the $40k mark on price.

I could have walked out of the mazda dealership with a black mazda speed 6 after tax and title for $27,000... i don't see how the handling of the evo x is worth an additional $10k over what the speed 6 had, esp since i will never even notice the difference where I live.

just frustrated with lack of info and the fact suburu had to make their car butt ugly and not come with recaros all in the same year... talk about a crummy year for buying a car.

I woulda rather had an Evo IX MR that was updated for 2008 with like 10 extra hp or something... and maybe slightly refined interior.

^ they aren't releasing the price because they want to sell first batch to those buyers who will fell in that class that will buy the car still under the impression of 0-60 in less than 5secs
