I hope they throw in the previous models for comparason. I do not have much confidence in the new EVO due to the weight.

I think itll still take the STi on the track hands down due to the fact that it is able to take corners at high speeds.

Should be a great video, but I think the X will barely edge out on a road course.

Straight line it seems like the new STI is fairly quick, or quicker then previous STI's.

I hope the STi kills the X so mitsu has no choice but to bump up the power.

Is it me or does it look like a fat person sat on the hood of the STI and squished out the headlights and flattened everything?

+1. I'll support anything that would force Mitsu to give the Evo some *****...even if it means losing to an STI.

If you just look purely at the numbers, the new STI should match the 2007 STI in performance. 2008 is +12hp (293 to 305), same torque (290). Weight gain of 22lbs (3351 to 3373). So, the STI should still easily be a sub-5 second 0-60 and low 13s 1/4 mile.

Who knows what will happen on the track between the two.

Looks like the Evo X will lose for the FIRST TIME EVER to an STI. It's a sad day in Evo land...
