Ix Or X
Does every board have to have a tool that brings in an example tottally irrelevant to the discussion? Who on the forum owns a shelby,lambo, ferrari? We are talking about an EVO here a 30k ****box that will never be a classic, even if it still holds together 30 years from now on. There is a reason why its called the best bang for the buck it gives you the most performance for 30k sacrificing quality.
I've driven both so heres my thoughts.
I would still take the evo9.
Why?
Because its more proven and just feels better.
If you were to leave the car stock, or slightly modify it and are just looking for a nice street car then the evo10 isn't so bad. It feels softer to drive and because of that it makes for a nicer street car over the evo9, actually really nice to drive.
But If you are going to do quite heavy mods then I would go with the proven evo9.
But thats just me, however i'd still take my evo6 over both of those

Please eloborate, how have you driven the X? Not saying you haven't, just curious how you've had the chance. And since you've driven both, did the X seem considerably slower than the IX?

I say the 9s look really cool in a timeless way... and aggressive.. YOu can clearly tel that teh 9 is a beastly car next to teh POS regular lancer
The X looks too much like the regular lancer now which looks better than before but is considered to be a POS..
This will be even worse when the RALLI art comes out - a regular lancer with turbo , body kit and more power that looks too much like the evo......LOL

hmmm...i beg to differ...when u say never b a classic what do u mean?......to hell with being a classic.......the evo and its legacy is a religion!

And that made for the mass , so it was cheap ,mass produced etc. You need to wait at least 25 years to say something like that. If the car have something special for hes time , then it has its own chance to being collector car later.
Like the VI TME, or the IX RS
And let me give you out some secret, those Ferrari's and Lambo's ,if they don't made any special edition or limited numbers /under 100/ they dropping price too. Some times really badly. So let make a conclusion here:
Every car was made with special or limited edition, has a chance to being collector car later. And this is proven over and over.
Those foglight holes are actually to aid in cooling. The VIII bumper makes the car look like a smiling Asian boy. The IX bumper actually looks more similar to the VII which is probably the best looking Cedia-based Evo IMHO.
IX FTW all the way around.

Just the prices on these cars have been going up so much. I love my Evo8, even though I wish I had Mivec, I still love my Evo 8. I am planning on paying it off in the next year and then getting an Evo X. I'm going to wait for about a year or so, just in case that the new Evo X has bugs that need to be work out. Just like anyother car that it's introduce into the market.
