gsr without bilsteins?
i have a ix mr, and i can't wait wait to get the new x, but i don't want an automatic, so i have no choice but the gsr. it won't have the bilsteins on it and i drive hard, so does anyone have any idea what the regular suspension will be like? it must at least be a little sporty since it's an evo. anyone drive a ix and ix mr and notice a big difference in handling? thanks a lot.
You could always buy used Evo X MR Bilsteins. They'll be a few sets available after some guys put coilovers in their MR. So, if you really want the Bilsteins, you'll be able to get them used in the "for-sale" section in this forum...you'll just have to wait a few months. No big deal. But, just drive the GSR first and see if you like it. From all the articles, it will handle very well and will ride softer than your IX.

One example is the latest Motor Trend test between USDM X GSR, USDM IX and USDM IX MR. Ranking on the track times were #1 - MR, #2 - IX, #3 - X...all same track, same driver, same day...that's as fair of a comparison as you can get.

Actually, based on all the car magazine articles and as odd as it sounds, the MR typically pulls better lap times on the track. So, you get a little performance bump on the track along with making your butt feel more comfortable on your daily commute

This is how I see it...since there are already aftermarket parts for the JDM Evo X, I'm seeing aftermarket suspension being available as soon as the USDM hits the states. I'd say go aftermarket once available...
