ambystom01...good find..thank you! The progression of the EJ25 STI engine between MY07 and MY08 is very comparable to the 4G63 progression between Evo VIII and Evo IX. That variable valve timing feature (whether we call it MIVEC or AVCS) seems to be a huge step forward for tuning potential. It will be interesting to see what 20psi and dual MIVEC means for the new 4B11.

EDIT: There are actually some other great links in that thread on NASIOC. Looks like PDX has already turned their new '08 STI into a stage 2 beast with approximately 360wtq on a Mustang dyno!

I think people are underestimating both cars. The STI is still a very potent car and it seems like some people are too focused on the whole "mitsubishi vs subaru" issue to see that. Sure the Evo X is not a fast 1/4 mile car, but it has proven itself to be a formidable track car.
