WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO GET GSR 5MT DOWN TO 3300LBS SOMEHOW CUZ THAT WILL BE THE TRUE DEVILUTION

Well, I know the US spec rear bumper added most of the weight difference between the US spec and Japanese spec Evo X (which is lighter by about 200lbs than the US version). If you could get your hands on the Japanese aluminum bumper beam and replace the US steel one, I am more than sure you can shave off a significant amount of weight. Of course there will be other weight saving measures but bumper is probably the biggest and easiest.

And as far as original article goes, it is a major repost

Yep, it's got bus weight.. Redline is lower, torque peak is higher (no abrupt boost).. bah..

The redline is indeed the same. The question is how well does it rev past redline... this obviously becomes more important as the size of the turbo increases.

It's rated at 7000 but the cutoff is like 7400 or something I think. The tach read a bit higher.
