okay so I realize that I've never really posted any replys or anything but I know this guy that started this thread isn't for real. Why? Because I work for a mistubishi dealer in in auburn, Washington and our district manager has been told by his managers that the mr will be delayed. I've been told that it may be delayed until the end of march. But the GDR will be here in Washington at the end of this month. Still no word from mitsu on any prices though, but we do have the evo x accessories catalog.

why would i take the time to lie to all of you and follow up on it. i am telling you exactly what i learned today from my dealer. like ive said before, i dont know for sure but i decided to put my trust on this dealer because their overall atmosphere seemed far better than any of the other dealers i went to.

besides, this IS some information out of the ordinary at least. and believe me or not, it came from the mouth of two managers of this dealership. they either running a huge scam or they know what they doing more than most. i got the price for 38k and that matches that of the ebay one. thats good to hear because it shows some sort of constancy.

After taxes your pushing $40k...........for a Mitsubishi?? Don't get me wrong, I own an Evo 8 and love it, but if people were to ask how much and I were to tell them "about $40k", Im sure they would not guess in a million years that it was for a new Mitsubishi , I mean a Mitsubishi that looks half Audi, half Acura, half Infinity, half Mazda, with the added 2" front wheel gap . My .02. Hope you enjoy the start of your 38k bragging rights!!!

If I understand you correctly...um, that's incorrect. We are getting an MR and an MR premium. Premium have the steering wheel mounted radio controls, Nav, bluetooth, and sunroof over the MR. At least that's according to the dealer's feature book which every dealer I've visited here in Vancouver have. Have my name against a black MR Premium, was told it will be guaranteed under 50K, probably around 47 or 48 Canadian. Shafted? You betcha!!!

verkion

P.S. Port arrival is March 15th. The dealer I have deposit down on have a Wicked White MR, (not premium), in port Feb. 15 or so.

Yup you are right that I am wrong. I guess what I am trying to say is that if I want the rockford stereo I would need the prem package.

Under 50k with prem package? pretty decent, I think an accord + navi is in the same ball park.

Anyways, which dealership you ordering from? I have wicked white MR and phantom black MR on order at 2 different dealership

yea the 38k is without taxes. i mean tax is tax and we all get fcked by it. at least the price was under 40k without tax. all in all, i rather get this evo over any audi or acura. if i drive a audi i feel wrong. im not rich and im giving all i got for the evo because of what it is and i just love the car. if i was in an audi i would feel like a rich guy thats not 100% happy with the car but bought it cause i had the money. and acura is ok but i rather the evo. besides the IX without tax is like 36k so with tax is almsot 40k and the evo x got more crap that makes it cost more (nothing i can do) and i dont wanna wait another 2 years for the next evo sedan.

all in all, my contract states if there is any changes to the car (including price) it will be adjusted. if it happens to actually cost 39k without tax, then i can at least argue i signed for 38k and since its on paper i should win that arguement.

i feel i made the right descision. my contract is flexible enough to save myself in most cases and also detailed enough to claim anything if its out of order or w/e.

besides my 3k deposit guarantees me my evo so i can sleep well.

I agree totally. At least the X has all the styling queue's copied off every car on the road today. (Front: Audi, Rear tailights: Acura TL/Lexus IS 350, Front fenders: Mazda RX8, Wing: Supra )

Off topic, but BMW sold the real deal E36 M3 in Canada with the 286hp motor, although only for one year (MY94). The US had the watered down 240hp E36 M3.
